Basic S1000D 4.1 coverage

WYSIWYG XML editor

Use WYSIWIG preview or XML with colored syntax. Create new elements with CTRL + SPACE. Create XML fragments using drag & drop: DMs, illustrations, supplies, tools, warnings, cautions, figref insertion etc.

Illustration preview

Display raster previews for CGMs, JPEGs and PNGs. Open them with their native editor directly from the workspace.

Controls

Real time check of schemas, BREX, internal links, external links.

Workflow

Straightforward DM workflow with 5 statuses:  Modification In Progress, To be controlled, Ready to deliver, Delivered, Accepted. You may use a two-level control status: internal control and external control.

Use the configuration control for traceability: check-in, check-out, inwork.  

Input / Output

Imports: DMRL, local folder content.

Automatic creation of a default Publication Module.

Exports: DML (current state of the database), official S1000D deliveries (DMs + associated ICNs + DDN),  AdHoc export (DMs + associated ICNs independent of their Workflow status). 

Interoperability

PDF Preview: choose to connect to an external S1000D publication software.

Local editors: choose to directly open a local editor for DMs or illustrations.

Storage:  choose a single-user mode with local folder, or a multi-user mode with embedded Subversion database.

 

Deployment

No internet access required, no administration rights required, works on Windows Seven or higher.
